Regarding dining out with friends, I have a far different approach. I say divide up the total bill by the number of folks there and split it evenly. Sure, sometimes you come out behind, but sometimes you come out ahead. Usually it all balances out in the wash. My most used tactic, however, is to usually pick up the tab myself. Sometimes it gets you a little stinky on your pinky...unless you're buying mac n' cheese for a straight British boy! :-)
So thrilled that business has picked up for ya. Bank that shit for next summer when it gets slow again.

When you and I go to dinner one day, there will be no worry about the check, YOU will pay. (=
If salad cream wasn't so expensive I'd send you an entire box full. A box full of cream.
